Shaznay Martin is an award-winning screenwriter, journalist and producer from South London dedicated to pushing the boundaries of representation on and off screen. In 2017 she attended the University of Sussex and studied English and Film. Her first short, "gaze" premiered at BFI Flare Festival in 2023 and her second short, "NOIR" premiered at Women X FIlm Festival in 2025. It has also won and been nominated for awards at Oniros Film Awards, New York International Film Festival, Independent Shorts Awards and many more.
