Tony Luong Thien Hoa is a Vietnamese filmmaker and cinematographer based in Ho Chi Minh City and the founder of BAOR Films, a production company. His work explores childhood, family bonds, and coming-of-age stories through an intimate, documentary-rooted lens, shaped by a poetic, film-like visual style - soft natural light, analog-inspired color, and cinematic negative space.
He was selected for the American Film Showcase Documentary Residency at USC (Los Angeles) after being nominated by the U.S. Embassy in Vietnam, and he is a Blackmagic Design Certified Trainer. His film "LOST" was nominated for Best Short Film at TICFF 2024, and he continues developing documentary and narrative projects that connect personal storytelling with youth culture and community.
