Adi Halfin is an award-winning director and screenwriter born in Jerusalem and raised partly in London. A cum laude graduate of the Sam Spiegel Film School, her shorts have screened at major festivals including Cannes and Berlinale, winning numerous international awards. She began her career as a 1st assistant director on feature films and TV dramas, working with acclaimed Israeli filmmakers Amos Gitai, Samuel Maoz, and Rama Burshtein.
Her viral dance film Home Alone, created with Batsheva Dance Company, won ten international prizes including Best Short at the San Francisco Dance Film Festival. Her interpretation of Radiohead's "True Love Waits", featuring Bobbi Jene Smith, earned seven awards, including Best Unofficial Music Video at the Los Angeles Music Video Festival.
Recognized with a 1.4 Awards shortlist and a Vimeo Staff Pick, Adi is celebrated for transforming choreography into cinematic storytelling. She has served on juries for D&AD, AICP, and leading dance film festivals worldwide, and continues to teach film directing, bridging the history of art and cinema.
