Paul Metaxas is a multimedia composer, writer, and actor with works and performances spanning radio, film, social media, and audio books. As a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, his perspective blends depth from an expanse of genres such as electronic, hip hop, rap, folk, rock, country, jazz, blues, ethnic and world ensemble, bluegrass, and orchestral and operatic ensemble.
Paul writes, records, and performs for public radio comedy show, Radio Encendido. He voices and sings for dozens of characters in recurring roles. Radio Encendido prides itself for creating every voice, instrument, and sound effect from scratch. Radio Encendido is broadcast over five radio stations in the Arizona Community Radio Network across the Southwest. He has also provided narration for public service announcements for the ACRN.
Paul wrote, acted, and performed vocals for short films, Draw Two and Life & Death. Directed by Steven Jon with Oh Yeah Cool Productions.
Co-wrote, co-filmed, co-directed, co-edited documentary short film, Karaoke Bridge with John Tatum. Wrote, sang, and performed for progressive rock band, Prolific, who were featured top 10 in Las Vegas for Reverbnation. Prolific performed in various venues across the Vegas Valley and Fremont Street/Old Strip. Paul has performed annually for the Art in the Park Hospital Charity Festival since 2015, and performed for GREENfest Charity Festival '17.
Paul has a unique perspective on corporations, having led 1,000+ in-house events as Director of Event Technology for Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas and Westin Lake Las Vegas. technical aid and setup, sales and creation, production and project/labor management, client/hotel negotiations, demonstrations, accounting management and hiring/requisitions. These included events for clients such as Google, Microsoft, Oracle, Samsung, Apple, Coca-Cola, and the re-election campaign supporting President Barack Obama.
Paul edits with Ableton Live 11 and Pro Tools and enjoys recording from his home studio. He has access to a fully-outfitted radio studio utilizing Neumann and Telefunken microphones, among dozens more.
