Danica Berard is a 23-year-old singer, actress, musician, and dancer, based in Vancouver. Growing up in an artistic household, she began performing at a young age in local musical theatre productions and with her family band, "The Dollz." As a child, she appeared in several music videos for local artists and was scouted for a BC Hydro campaign. Over the years, Danica has performed with numerous ensembles and choirs and is also a professional Ukrainian dancer, having competed and performed across British Columbia and Washington, including live-orchestra productions of The Nutcracker.
Danica entered Vancouver's film industry in 2017 after working on the set of "Once Upon a Time." She began Film and TV acting training in 2021 and, in 2022, received her first acting credit as "Maddie's Lookalike" on School Spirits (Paramount Plus). In 2023, Danica starred in her first short film, "The Antique Shop," directed by Kenzie Lang and shot on a 16mm Bolex camera, where she portrayed a young woman transported to a 1950s small town. Danica recently booked her first principal role as a singer on Apple TV's "Invasion" and has other projects currently in production.
A lifelong fan of The Beach Boys, Danica had the opportunity to sing live with the band in 2015 and 2022 and was featured in their marketing campaign for the "Sail On Sailor - 1972" box set. She has also performed with California Surf, singing lead on "Wouldn't It Be Nice" and providing backing vocals on "Barbara Ann."
Danica is currently expanding her artistic abilities and writing her debut album. Her music blends singer-songwriter, folk, and pop influences, heavily inspired by the sounds of the 1950s and 60s. Passionate about storytelling through music and performance, Danica is committed to creating work that connects with audiences worldwide.
