Kristi Bruno was born Kristi Lee Horton in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
An only child, she quickly showed an aptitude for all things artistic.
Her first professional stage work came at the age of 16, when she was
cast in the University of North Dakota's Summer Stock Theater Company.
Two state championships for dramatic interpretation followed, as well
as leading roles in community and educational productions.
After performing for two seasons as part of the Kaiserslautern
Performing Arts Center in Kaiserslautern, Germany, Kristi turned her
back on theater in 1988 to focus on her completing her college
education.
Kristi return to performing came as a complete accident. After being
laid off as a copy editor for a major Minneapolis firm, she found her
interests turning back to performing. She entered a contest to be the
"Count's Sidekick" for the 2002 version of Hubbard Broadcasting's
"Horror, Incorporated" on a complete whim, and was shocked to both win
the spot, and to then be called back for three more episodes as the
vampiress "Lucretia". She's since been performing non-stop, with
numerous roles in both the 2003 season of "Horror, Incorporated", three
leading roles as the vampire hunter "Cassie Banning" in Stone Soup
Films' "Pray for Daylight" series, as well as several roles on stage.
Kristi currently resides in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with her husband
and family.
