Joanne was born and raised in Ontario, Canada. As a child her first performance was in her primary school play as lead female sparking her passion for the arts. Growing up she and family were avid theatre goers in both Stratford and Toronto, Ontario. Throughout her school years Joanne enjoyed playing musical instruments and singing in choirs both in high school and in the Christian Church. These led her to performing in private venues and restaurants and in competitions in Toronto, Ontario. In her teens and early 20's she also took on modeling in her past time. Joanne married and she and husband then moved to Mississauga where she took a break from performing, becoming a Property Manager, later a stay at home mom focusing on family and then returned to business as a Certified Personal Trainer. During these years she also fell in love with adrenaline sports such as surfing, cross country mountain biking, downhill skiing, indoor rock climbing, competitive squash and white water kayaking among others. Finding herself as an empty-nester, Joanne now has time to enjoy wild adrenaline activities while returning to her first passion of performing. She is embracing TV/Film Principle Acting full time with her first short film being a Sci-Fi thriller... W.A.A.I.T.T. and her second short film, a drama, Clean Hands, released in 2025. Joanne now resides with her husband and biggest supporter in their hometown of Woodstock, Ontario,
