Oliverio Duhalde is a composer, music producer and sound artist.
Known for a.o. El grito sagrado (2003), Historia de un país: Argentina Siglo XX (2006), Mind-Blowing Breakthroughs (2014).
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1974, Duhalde is a graduate in Orchestra Conducting and Composition and has taken post-graduate courses in musical production, sound design and filmscoring. He is the Director of Bachelor's in Filmscoring at UCA where lectures Musical Production, Filmscoring, Applied Acoustics and Sound Art. Along with Martin Bonadeo, cofounded TECAT (Taller Experimental de Ciencia, Arte y Tecnología) a multidisciplinary space to produce and rethink technological developments. Since 2007 he has participated in art courses, programs and seminaries at Universidad Católica Argentina, Universidad Torcuato DiTella, Fundación Telefónica and CCEBA were he studied with Diego Bianchi, Mónica Giron, Mariano Sardón and Rodrigo Alonso.
Since 2001 Duhalde is director at Segno Soundtrack Design, producing more than 200 soundtracks applied to audio visual media, theatre, performances and art installations. As musical producer he edited 9 records. As a composer he has premiered numerous elecotracoustic, chamber, symphonic and opera pieces in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Estados Unidos y Europa. As a sound artist he has made several sound sculptures and sound interventions in South America and overseas. He also works as an audio installation consulting.
For his works as an artist he has been awarded the Prix Jeunesse Ibéroamericano 2003 & 2009, "Fundación antorchas" prize 2003, Best documentary film "Divercine" (2004), UNESCO prize for "Pas-par-tu" (2004), Teatros del mundo Prize 2005 (Best music nomination), Plate pencil (2006), Mamba - Fundación Telefónica (artistic creation incentive) 2007, Fundación Telefónica's interactivos 2012 program. Fundación Telefónica de Argentina (incentivo a la producción 2013), Mención Premio CeArTec 2014 por el proyecto VOLVOX. Fondo Argentino de desarrollo cultural "MicRA".
