JL Reano is a Filipino International actor, singer, brand advocate and a stage performer. He is Known for The Eventologist (2023) and Kwarto (2021) . He was raised in the City of Tabuk, Kalinga, Philippines. He was first exposed to singing and acting as a child.
JL began his career and was discovered when he was 4 years old. He began his singing-acting career in 2008, appearing in the musical theater play "A Love of an Igorota" and played the role "Boy". In the same year, He recorded his first song rendition entitled "Nature Boy" popularized by David Bowie from the musical film in 2001, Moulin Rouge. In 2009, He was chosen to be the lead actor in another successful musical play entitled "Love Prevails on Broadway", a charity show made to help a seven year old child with Rheumatic Heart Disease.
In 2013, JL Reano decided to pursue his career abroad and unexpectedly recognized by many foreign artists/actors and directors for his extraordinary talent in singing and acting. 2014 was a big break for JL as he was chosen to be the lead actor for the play "AL Khayef" directed by Mr Robert Liddington, a british director. Al Khayef is an Arabic adaptation of Georg Büchner's Woyzeck , deals with the dehumanizing effects of doctors and the military on a young man's life. The play was viewed as having another dimension, portraying the 'perennial tragedy of human jealousy'.
JL Reano represented the Philippines and performed in the Small World Gala Event in Abu Dhabi, UAE, a foundation based in the UAE that supports the children causes around the globe in partnership with CNN , UAE Red Crescent and many more.
The singer in him, JL makes it a point to give his own version of the song he is asked to sing. He was called to be the Filipino balladeer of the middle east. He guested in various TV Shows and events locally and Internationally.
JL Reano was introduced as a rising star in Doha, Qatar and has been awarded as the "Best Actor" from the short film "Kwarto (2021)" during the Advocacy Global Studios Oscar's Awards Night. In 2023, JL Reano starred in the movie, The Eventologist (2023) as one of the lead casts which he played the role of Billy featuring other OFW Casts and starring the lead actor of the film Mr. JC Santos, written and Directed by Oscar De Jesus Yema.
