Billy the Kid Returns 1938
Plot: After the death of the real Billy the Kid at the hands of Sheriff Pat Garrett, a look-alike named Roy Rogers arrives in town and is mistaken for the notorious outlaw. The local townspeople, who saw Billy the Kid as a hero defending them from ruthless ranchers, convince Rogers to assume the Kid's identity to continue his fight, but without the killing. Rogers, with his trusty horse Trigger and sidekick Frog Millhouse, helps to bring the bad guys to justice and wins the heart of a local storekeeper's daughter.
