Blood Immortal (2019)
Plot: This cerebral vampire anthology spans three centuries, following three generations of female vampires whose survival is threatened by the shifting social, environmental, and economic conditions of humanity.
Chapter 1 (Past): In 1789, Josephine and her daughter Eliza struggle to maintain their land in the aftermath of the Revolutionary War. After Josephine is bitten by a predatory land speculator, she must decide between a life of immortal hunger or a natural death.
Chapter 2 (Present): Fiona, a vampire living in the modern day, finds that the blood of humans has become "tainted" by environmental pollutants and toxins. This leads to a physical decline in her species, forcing her to navigate a world where her food source is slowly poisoning her.
Chapter 3 (Future): In a near-future economic collapse, Josephine and Eliza resurface. They must survive in a society where "clean blood" has become a high-priced black-market commodity, reflecting the ultimate desperation of their immortal lives.
