“Breaking Legs” is a light, feel-good teen dance comedy that doesn’t try to reinvent the genre but has plenty of heart and energy. It’s got all the classic ingredients—high school drama, rivalries, a new girl trying to fit in, and of course, lots of dancing. While some moments are a bit over-the-top, the film’s charm comes from its enthusiasm and sincerity. Liv Southard is fun to watch, and the choreography brings a lively, upbeat rhythm to the story. It’s cheesy in the best way—like a sparkly high school daydream with sneakers and sass.
