Broken City 2023 is a movie about Detective Kaelen Thorne, a seasoned but cynical police officer in a futuristic mega-city that has been ravaged by a devastating cyber-attack three years prior, plunging its once gleaming infrastructure into disarray and constant blackouts. The city is now a labyrinth of shadowed alleys, controlled by competing tech-gangs, while the privileged few live in illuminated, fortified enclaves. When a series of high-profile murders begin targeting individuals connected to the original cyber-attack, Kaelen is forced to partner with Anya Petrova, a brilliant but rebellious hacker from the impoverished "grid-down" zones. As they navigate the crumbling landscape and confront both the city's digital ghosts and its analog thugs, they uncover a terrifying conspiracy: the "cyber-attack" wasn't an act of terrorism, but a deliberate act of sabotage orchestrated by a powerful hidden entity to dismantle the old world and build a new, controlled society from the ruins of the "Broken City."
