"Chopping Block" 2016 tells a story of a group of unemployed young adults who are hired for a seemingly easy job: to haunt a remote, abandoned house for a weekend, essentially posing as ghosts for a paying client. What starts as a fun, unconventional gig quickly devolves into a terrifying ordeal when they realize the house is genuinely haunted by malevolent spirits, and a real, axe-wielding killer is also on the loose, systematically hunting them down. The film blends elements of horror and dark comedy as the characters try to survive both the supernatural forces and the very real human threat.
