"Conjuring The Genie" 2021 tells a story of a young, traumatized student named Morgan, who, for a college assignment, decides to investigate an urban legend. Through a dubious website, she finds instructions to summon a "wishing demon" or Djinn. Gathering her friends, they inadvertently unleash the malevolent entity from an ancient amulet. The Djinn, true to folklore, grants wishes but twists them into grotesque and deadly outcomes, leading to horrific consequences for each friend. As the body count rises and the wishes turn into nightmares (e.g., wishing for beauty leads to being turned into a mannequin, a wish for strength results in a werewolf transformation), Morgan must find a way to capture the demonic spirit back into the amulet and stop the escalating chaos, especially after her own wish to bring her dead father back to life goes horribly wrong.
