Corregidor
Year: 1943
Plot: Set during the early days of World War II, following the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor and the invasion of the Philippines, the film focuses on the American and Filipino forces making a desperate stand. The story centers around the personnel of a military hospital, particularly Dr. Royce Lee, her new husband Dr. Jan Stockman, and her former lover Dr. Michael. As the doctors and nurses struggle to treat the sick and wounded with diminishing supplies in the face of ferocious and relentless Japanese attacks on the island of Corregidor, they are caught in a passionate love triangle and must deal with personal tragedies and acts of bravery during the heroic but ultimately doomed defense of the outpost.
