Cross-Examination

Plot: The film is a dramatic courtroom mystery centered on defense attorney Gerald Waring (H.B. Warner). He takes on the seemingly impossible case of a young man, David Wells, who is charged with the murder of his own father, a wealthy man named Emory Wells. The prosecution piles up damaging evidence against the accused youth, and initial witnesses point to his guilt. However, attorney Waring's sharp wit and ingenious skill during the cross-examination of key witnesses slowly begin to tear holes in the case.
