Disrupted 2020
Plot: A widower named Pete, a longtime resident of gentrifying Oakland, is a recovering alcoholic and parolee who has managed to rebuild his life. However, his past comes roaring back when a local murder is strikingly similar to the unsolved killing of his wife decades ago. Pulled back into the investigation by a retired detective, Pete's long-dormant thirst for justice is rekindled. His pursuit of the killer plunges him back into a dark and dangerous world, forcing him to confront the collateral damage of gentrification, racial tensions, and a criminal underworld that threatens to consume him.
