Frankenstein: Day of the Beast (2011)
Plot: In this gritty, independent reimagining of Mary Shelley's classic, Victor Frankenstein leads his fiancée Elizabeth and a group of hired mercenaries to an isolated, foggy island for a secret wedding. Victor’s motive is not just romance; he is attempting to hide from his creation—a monstrous, reanimated beast that has been slaughtering his family. As the wedding party becomes trapped on the island, the monster begins a systematic and bloody siege, picking off the soldiers one by one. The film transforms the traditional gothic drama into a "siege horror" movie, as the survivors huddle in a derelict church while the creature stalks them from the surrounding woods.
