'Gung Ho!': The Story of Carlson's Makin Island Raiders 1943
Plot: Seven weeks after the attack on Pearl Harbor, a group of volunteers from various backgrounds come together to form the 2nd Marine Raider Battalion. Under the command of Colonel "Thorwalt," they undergo rigorous training for all types of combat. Their first and most terrifying mission is to launch a daring raid on the Japanese-held Makin Island. The film follows their perilous journey via submarine and the long and bloody battle they must endure to complete their objective.
