Plot: The film is a supernatural and psychological horror story based on Moldovan folklore, centered on the creature known as the Strigoaică, a witch whose curse is passed down through the female bloodline. The story follows Anna (Victoria U Bell), an underprivileged seamstress who has fled her home country for the U.S. to escape a turbulent past and a dark family legacy. Haunted by the malevolent spirit of her deceased witch grandmother, who attempts to corrupt her, Anna tries to find a normal life, love, and acceptance in high society. As she becomes entangled with a wealthy family, the supernatural curse begins to take a deadly hold, forcing her to confront the terrifying destiny she is desperate to avoid.
