Six-Gun Trail
Year: 1938
Plot: Captain William "Lightning Bill" Carson (Tim McCoy), a federal agent, is on the trail of jewel thieves who committed a daring daylight robbery. Carson and his sidekick, Magpie, track the gang to a border town. To infiltrate the criminal operation, Carson goes undercover by disguising himself as a shady Chinese businessman and setting up a jewelry-buying shop. The lawman's plan is to flush the thieves out, which he does by winning all their money in a poker game. Desperate, the leader of the outlaws agrees to pay the "Chinese businessman" with the stolen jewels. However, the thieves plan to murder Carson immediately after turning over the gems to retrieve both the jewels and the money, setting the stage for a final showdown.
