The Little Princess 1939
Plot: A young girl, Sara Crewe, is left at a boarding school in London by her wealthy father, who is heading to war. She is treated like a princess until a cruel headmistress discovers that her father has died. She is then forced to live a life of poverty and hardship, but she never gives up hope that her father will return one day.
