Within the Pines (2024)
Plot: Sam Evans, a veteran sound recordist struggling with a crumbling marriage, retreats to a remote forest to capture high-quality natural audio. His peaceful assignment turns into a nightmare when his sensitive equipment picks up a blood-curdling scream from deep within the woods. Following the sound, he discovers an isolated caravan and an armed stranger, inadvertently becoming the witness to something he wasn't supposed to hear. As darkness falls, Sam is forced into a deadly game of cat-and-mouse, using his auditory expertise and survival instincts to evade a relentless pursuer in the dense, disorienting wilderness.
