'Neath the Arizona Skies
Year: 1934
Plot: Cowboy Chris Morrell (played by John Wayne) is the legal guardian of a young, half-Indian girl named Nina. Nina is the heir to a valuable $50,000 oil lease on her late mother's land, but to collect the money, her long-lost white father's signature is required on the guardianship papers. Chris sets out to find the father, but the two are relentlessly pursued by a ruthless gang of outlaws, led by Sam Black, who want to kidnap the girl and claim her fortune. Along the way, Chris is involved in a case of mistaken identity after a bank robber switches clothes with him while he is unconscious. Chris must defend Nina from the desperadoes, navigate the case of mistaken identity, and, with the help of a few friends, ultimately locate Nina's father before the criminals can get to her.
