Oral Fixation (2009) Plot: A woman named Rachel Marks develops a dangerous, all-consuming obsession with her New Jersey dentist, Dr. Paul McNeil. Despite the fact that Paul is happily married with a family, Rachel is convinced he shares her feelings, and she will go to extreme, often masochistic, lengths to be near him, including self-mutilation to create dental "emergencies." When her stalker behavior escalates, she forces herself into his life, leading to chaos, violence, and murder as the lines between love, delusion, and deadly obsession blur.

Wrong Turn (2021) Plot: A group of six young adults—including Jennifer "Jen" Shaw and her boyfriend Darius—arrive in a small town in rural Virginia to hike a remote section of the Appalachian Trail. Despite warnings from hostile locals, the group ignores the advice and ventures off the main trail to find an old fort. They soon stumble into the territory of "The Foundation," a hidden, self-sufficient community of mountain settlers who have lived in isolation since 1859. The settlers violently defend their way of life and begin systematically hunting the hikers with gruesome traps. When Jen's father, Scott, arrives weeks later searching for his missing daughter, the story pivots between the hikers' fight for survival against the primitive society and Scott's desperate search, which ultimately leads him down the same terrifying path.

Evil Woman (2013) Plot: The film, originally titled Mala (meaning "Bad" or "Evil" in Spanish), is a crime thriller centered on a woman named Rosario. Rosario operates as a vigilante assassin, taking on contract killings where she specifically targets and murders men who are known to mistreat or abuse women. The plot follows her actions and the dramatic consequences of her vengeful form of justice.

The Night Before (2017) Plot: On the night before Halloween, a single mother named Kristina and her daughter, Penny, are taken captive inside a strange home. Their town is already on edge due to a recent warning from the authorities about an escaped mental patient, Jasper, being on the loose, which caused the community to hold their trick-or-treating a day early. As Kristina and Penny find themselves held hostage by a masked stranger (implied to be the escaped patient, Jasper), they must fight for their lives and attempt to escape the home invasion ordeal. The film operates as a slow-burn horror/suspense thriller.

Exposure (2023) Plot: Tanner, a man who was kidnapped, tortured, and poisoned by an unknown assailant years ago, now lives in constant, debilitating fear that his attacker is still trying to get him. His compulsive behaviors—obsessively checking his house and confirming his food is safe—slowly begin to destroy his relationship with his supportive wife, Nicole. When Nicole learns his former captor has been released from prison, Tanner’s paranoia spirals out of control. To save her marriage, Nicole forces Tanner to confront his obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and his fears head-on with a form of therapy called Exposure Response Prevention (ERP). Tanner embraces the difficult therapy, but his efforts to face his fears become increasingly reckless, pushing him to a dangerous edge as he attempts to uncover a perceived conspiracy and, ultimately, face the dark truth about his trauma and his mental state.

Penumbra (2011) Plot: Marga, an arrogant, high-powered Spanish corporate woman temporarily in Buenos Aires, is rushing to rent out a dilapidated apartment her family owns. She is contacted by a mysterious realtor, Jorge, who claims to have a wealthy client, Mr. Salva, willing to pay four times the asking price, but the paperwork must be completed immediately. Despite her growing suspicion and distaste for the neighborhood and its locals—and an escalating series of strange occurrences—Marga agrees to wait for the client. As the day progresses and a rare total solar eclipse is about to occur, Jorge's increasingly peculiar "associates" begin to arrive at the apartment. Marga slowly realizes that she has been lured into a trap and that the people who surround her are part of a sun-worshipping cult planning to use her and the apartment for a bizarre ritual connected to the eclipse.
