Northern Shade (2022) Plot: Justin McLaughlin, a troubled Army veteran living in isolation on a boat in Connecticut, is forced out of his reclusive life when his younger brother, Charlie, goes missing. Teaming up with a private investigator named Frankie, Justin discovers that his estranged brother has been recruited by a dangerous, extremist militia. Set against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic, Justin must use his military training and confront the ghosts of his past—including visions of a fallen comrade—to infiltrate the militia compound and rescue his brother from an indoctrinated path of violence.

Plot: The film centers on a woman who finds herself trapped in a desperate and isolated situation. It is a "one-actor" minimalist thriller that follows her internal and external struggle for survival as she faces an encroaching threat. The narrative focuses heavily on her psychological state, her memories, and her dwindling "hope" as she attempts to find a way out of her confinement.

Zombies Have Fallen (2017) Plot: A young woman named Kyra, who possesses supernatural psychic powers and visions of a looming apocalypse, is hunted by a ruthless medical research facility that wants to weaponize her abilities. She is rescued and protected by John Northwood, a retired bounty hunter. As they are pursued by mercenaries across the countryside, Kyra’s powers manifest in terrifying ways—eventually leading her to inadvertently trigger a local zombie outbreak that complicates their fight for survival.

Caiman (2025) Plot: A year after his fiancée, Ana, was killed by what he claims was a mysterious creature on the island of Vieques, Cameron returns to Puerto Rico with his friend Diego and a cameraman to document the truth. Although his friends are skeptical of his "unnatural" explanation, they soon encounter a native who reveals the island is home to mutated creatures—the result of decades of U.S. Navy test bombings. As tensions within the group reach a breaking point, Cameron learns that to defeat the creature, he must consume its tainted blood and undergo a terrifying transformation himself.

Oral Fixation (2009) Plot: A woman named Rachel Marks develops a dangerous, all-consuming obsession with her New Jersey dentist, Dr. Paul McNeil. Despite the fact that Paul is happily married with a family, Rachel is convinced he shares her feelings, and she will go to extreme, often masochistic, lengths to be near him, including self-mutilation to create dental "emergencies." When her stalker behavior escalates, she forces herself into his life, leading to chaos, violence, and murder as the lines between love, delusion, and deadly obsession blur.

Wrong Turn (2021) Plot: A group of six young adults—including Jennifer "Jen" Shaw and her boyfriend Darius—arrive in a small town in rural Virginia to hike a remote section of the Appalachian Trail. Despite warnings from hostile locals, the group ignores the advice and ventures off the main trail to find an old fort. They soon stumble into the territory of "The Foundation," a hidden, self-sufficient community of mountain settlers who have lived in isolation since 1859. The settlers violently defend their way of life and begin systematically hunting the hikers with gruesome traps. When Jen's father, Scott, arrives weeks later searching for his missing daughter, the story pivots between the hikers' fight for survival against the primitive society and Scott's desperate search, which ultimately leads him down the same terrifying path.
