Suffering from memory loss and displacement, Raven recruits a group of friends who have also faced traumatic pasts. Together, they embark on a dangerous mission of vengeance against predators in their neighborhood. As their nefarious activities begin to spiral out of control and local authorities close in on a suspect for a heinous crime, the line between Malaika’s writing and Raven’s reality begins to blur.

The Woods Are Real (2024) Plot: Joba and Quincy are a wealthy, progressive Brooklyn couple who take pride in their activism and modern lifestyle. When their friend Caleb returns from a mysterious pilgrimage in the woods claiming to have found spiritual enlightenment, he invites them to an off-grid cabin to experience it for themselves. Once there, the couple finds the cabin filled with strange analog technology and religious icons. Their retreat turns into a nightmare when they discover their bank accounts have been drained and their digital identities erased.
